b'A M ES S A G E F RO M T H E A R C H B I S H O PAt the end of another challenging year, the Archdiocesan Development Fund presents in these pages an account of its stewardship. The story told is a story of faith, dedication, teamwork and professional expertise. All of this has combined to ensure a good performance through a time of pandemic which has brought pressures we have never seen before. It has become a clich to say that things will never be the same again. Less obvious perhaps is the claim made by Pope Francis that this is not so much an era of change as a change of era. This is what the Plenary Council recognises in the Church in this country. July of this year will see the second assembly of the Council which will have to make bold decisions about the future of the Church in Australia. There is much about the future that we cannot know. But one thing that we do knowall the more so reading this Reportis that the Archdiocesan Development Fund will be a rock-solid support and a trustworthy partner to the Church as we take the path of reform and renewal which the mission in these times demands. I offer heartfelt thanks to Andrew Musial and his team for the service they have given through the last year and the reassurance they provide as together we look to the future.Archbishop of BrisbaneA R C H D I O C E S A N D E V E L O P M E N T F U N D 4'
